FAIRFIELD AIRPORT
open House
MAY 20

The Squadron is hosting a new event to coincide with the Fairfield County Airport’s OPEN HOUSE. This should prove to be a very exciting event for all who attend.
It will include The Young Eagles program hosted by the EAA for kids ages 8 through 18 years old. This is a chance for kids to be introduced to flying. All of the youngsters will have a chance to go flying.
Second will be the Pilots Association meet for a pilots breakfast with Hot Dogs in the afternoon. HAS will have a bake sale and hangar tour for all to see our aircraft and facilities. We are to host a Corvette Car Show this year at the same time.
This event replaces our Fly and Flea Market. What a great program this will be. Volunteers are needed and they will be enjoying the event as well as helping out at the same time.

Anyone who would like to donate baked goods for
the H.A.S bake sale at the Open House,
Contact Kathy Ridgway at 614- 899-9690

 SQUADRON NEWS.....

Finances have been slightly improved thanks to those who have worked at the Texas Hold ‘em Poker events at the hangar. A paint budget has been established for the ambulance and the tank. Crews are wanting to get started on that project. Si DeBolt has offered a Stinson model 10 to the club for restoration. Members and officers are considering the feasibility of the extent of the job to put it together. Decision to be made later. Jim Sullivan offered 4’ X 8’ sheets of plaster board for the new offices. Board is also looking at ways to improve our public entrance to make it more friendly. Discussions about paving a drive between our hangar and Ricart hangar are on going.
